Applying to My First College

sliderBy: Clay Roberts

By applying to my first college, I am very happy and proud, because I feel like I am really going to have a bright future. By taking this step, I know that I am doing something to brighten up my future and am one step closer to a wonderful career. To be honest, I am a little nervous about going to college but I know it will benefit me in the most wonderful and magnificent way. I am really proud of myself. The reason I am proud of myself is because I am setting goals and I am attacking them with all that I have. I really am looking forward to seeing what colleges are going to accept me.

The first college I applied to and hope accepts me is University of Illinois at Chicago. This school is located on Chicago’s West Side. I feel this school is a good fit for me because of its environment and the courses they offer. I plan to study television and broadcasting and art design; UIC offers both of these courses. I also like that attending UIC will be a change of scenery. I look forward to one day graduating from UIC and becoming a professional television and broadcasting personality.
