Class of 2014 Prepares To Graduate

On Friday, May 30th, the class of 2014 finished preparations for graduation. This week has been a week of transitions for our seniors. On Tuesday, students wrapped up final examinations and projects. On Wednesday, students filled out important paperwork and had their Senior Picnic, including basketball tournaments, grilling lunch, soccer and volleyball games and hanging out with friends. A great day was had by all!

On Thursday it was time to rehearse for graduation. The seniors met at school and listened intently to rehearsal instructions. Then they loaded buses and traveled to Moody Bible Institute, where graduation will be held on Monday, June 2. Once there, seniors were on their best behavior as they prepared for one of the biggest days of their lives! Selena Ortiz noted, “This place is beautiful, and I can’t believe we’re having our graduation here.”

Friday was a day of mixed emotions. Seniors were so excited for graduation and preparing for that night’s prom; however, there was also a feeling of sadness as students prepared to end their high school years. Keandre Wesley reflected, “I’m really going to miss this place. A big part of me doesn’t want to leave,” while Beatris Osorio stated “Clemente has done a really good job preparing me for the next step. I feel really confident about my future”.

Good Luck, Class of 2014! We are proud of all you have accomplished!
