New Scholarship Recipients Announced

Congratulations to three amazing Wildcats who have received scholarships for $2,000 each! The students are:Daniel Rivera: Daniel is excited to attend Morton College next year, where he can further his academic studies and play baseball. His goal is to either play in the Major Leagues or become a doctor and work in sports medicine.
Darrien Hoy: Darrien plans to attend Truman College so he can participate in the Auto Tech program and transfer to SIU-Carbondale. In the future he plans to work as an auto mechanic and eventually open up his own auto shop or car dealership.
Pedro Vazquez: Pedro is currently undecided but has been accepted to three colleges so far. No matter what he chooses, he is looking forward to a successful career. Pedro’s dream is to open a workout facility in his community that serves as a mentoring program for teenagers.
These three students were eligible for the Ross Dress for Less Scholarship by participating in the Boys & Girls Club – Diplomas 2 Degrees program that is run at Clemente. The program helps prepare students for post-secondary education and supports them in the college application and scholarship process. The scholarships are being made possible by Ross Dress for Less, which is a corporate partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
