We are continuing with our current units, investigating artists, creating our own work, and practicing our skills with our classmates.
|
|
The dance class is investigating American Jazz Dance in Unit 3, exploring how the way we dance is connected to roots in Africa. In the movement room, students have learned steps inspired by West African dance styles and are currently learning dances made popular in clubs in the 1930s.
|
As we continue our work, please remember that student attendance is directly aligned with their achievement in class. Most of our activities require direct participation in order to practice skills and demonstrate mastery. If you have any questions about your student’s attendance or participation in their arts class, please reach out to their teacher.

Mrs Potter’s Senior Seminar class is three weeks into the Financial Education unit, which is a graduation requirement for all seniors. Currently, we are investigating checking accounts and how to manage money responsibly.
|
|
It is important that every student attend class consistently so they understand all of the assignments and submit them on time. Please continue to check in with your student. Feel free to contact Mrs. Potter (jtpotter@cps.edu) is you have questions or concerns about the Financial Education unit or Senior Seminar.

Make your plans! A schedule will come out after winter break, photo sessions are usually scheduled through your English Class. Caps & Gowns will be provided by the photographer for your photography session. They will take photographs and then reach out to you if you want to purchase your photo or if you want to do other photo packages. Clemente does not take money or orders, this will all go through Life Touch photography. NOTE: If you are not present on this day, there is no make-up day. You will need to contact a photographer of your choice and arrange a senior photo session with them.

¡Planifica tu cita! El calendario se publicará en enero. Las sesiones de fotos se suelen programar a través de tu clase de inglés. El fotógrafo proporcionará togas y birretes para la sesión. Después de tomar las fotos, se pondrá en contacto contigo si deseas comprar alguna o si te interesan otros paquetes fotográficos. Clemente no recibe pagos ni pedidos; todo se gestiona a través de Life Touch Photography.

DP & CP students were given a presentation going over what to expect and what is expected of them regarding their DP exams. This information will also be emailed to parents and guardians of students in DP classes so everyone is aware of when exams are taking place and the expectations of all students.
|

Sophomores, for those of you who submitted your final products, congratulations on reaching that important milestone in your Personal Project journey. You will get to show them off at the Personal Project Fair on February 13th at 2:40 in the Link! Family, please be on the lookout for an official invite in your email coming soon!

For anyone who did not yet submit their Personal Project final products, late projects will not be accepted after February 6th so please be sure to turn it in by then. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Ms. Dryjanski at gdryjanski@cps.edu.
