For the 9th and 10th grade Cluster room we are moving into our Hygiene unit for Biology! We have begun to incorporate healthy routines such as Brushing our teeth after breakfast, (and when our teeth feel dirty.) consistent hand washing, consistent cleaning, as well as learning how to dress appropriately with the change in the weather! For Spanish we are moving beyond our daily greetings and small number counting to begin to incorporate descriptive adjectives to what we have already learned! In Math we are moving into money counting (specifically budgeting), in the hopes of taking our first walking field trip to a local grocery store.

Seniors in seminar class are finishing up projects investigating topics related to their postsecondary plans. This has been a longer process that allows students to practice their organizational and time management skills. The project is culminating in small group presentations where students will learn about each other's research. The first presentations happened earlier this week. I am extremely proud of how the students are supporting each other! Meanwhile, in art, DP students will be working on their process portfolio as a summative grade. Finally, in English class, students are completing synthesis essays that connect the experiences of a character in a short story from earlier in the semester to the real-world interactions that occur in diverse settings. It has been exciting to see seniors bring together all of the knowledge they have acquired over the last 15 weeks!
SENIOR PHOTO DAY!
Monday, February 9th
Make your plans! A schedule will come out after winter break, photo sessions are usually scheduled through your English Class. Caps & Gowns will be provided by the photographer for your photography session. They will take photographs and then reach out to you if you want to purchase your photo or if you want to do other photo packages. Clemente does not take money or orders, this will all go through Life Touch photography. NOTE: If you are not present on this day, there is no make-up day. You will need to contact a photographer of your choice and arrange a senior photo session with them.

¡DÍA DE FOTOS DE GRADUACIÓN!
Lunes 9 de febrero
¡Planifica tu cita!
Teachers are going to be finalizing grades for the end of 1st semester. If you have questions or concerns, please reach our to your student’s teacher.

  • The Visual Arts class is going to be showcasing their work from Unit 2 in the Link. Come by and see the work the students have done if you are in the building.
  • The Music classes are participating in performances this week to present what they have been working on in class.
  • The Dance classes are finishing up their Unit 2 projects where they are investigating a dance genre of their choice and developing original choreography.

Sophomores, don’t forget that if you requested supplies for your Personal Project, they will be available for pickup next week during lunch and after school all next week!
Additionally, Assignment #3, the success criteria and action plan, was due on December 12th! Didn’t finish it? Be sure to work on it before winter break so you can be all set before leaving for two weeks!
