Clemente Represented at the Far South CAC Summit
This past weekend, members of the Roberto Clemente Community Academy team proudly represented our school at the Far South Community Action Council (CAC) Summit, an important gathering of educators, community leaders, students, and stakeholders from across Chicago.
The summit created space for meaningful conversations centered on strengthening our schools, uplifting student voice, and building stronger partnerships between schools and the communities they serve. Sessions throughout the day highlighted the importance of collaboration, transparency, and shared responsibility in shaping the future of education.
Clemente’s presence at this event reflects our ongoing commitment to not only serving our students within our building, but also contributing to the larger conversation around equity, opportunity, and community-driven solutions across the city.
As we continue our work at Clemente, we remain focused on ensuring our students and families are represented, heard, and supported, both in our school and beyond.

The Senior Seminar class is continuing to work toward graduation by building skills to get a job and completing graduation requirements. Students are expected to continue to attend class consistently and give their attention to class work and assignments through the end of the marking period. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Potter (jtpotter@cps.edu).

CP students went to the Humboldt Park Health Wellness Center this week to learn about this awesome community resource and overall wellness. Students took a yoga class that left us relaxed and limber, relaxed with mindful coloring in the community room, and took a tour of the 3 floor facility. We left feeling calm, in-tune with ourselves, and grateful!

Next week, freshmen students will get a sneak peek into Personal Project. Sophomores will be visiting freshmen Civics classes to share their experience, talk about what was challenging and what was rewarding and offer sage advice on how to tackle Personal Project when current ninth graders start their tenth grade year. Be sure to be in class on Monday to learn more and start brainstorming what amazing products and learning goals you want to focus on next year!
Sophomores, after all your hard work, we are almost ready to celebrate your efforts in Personal Project! On April 30th, we will be heading to the MLK Skating Rink for bowling, skating, and pizza! Be on the lookout for your permission slip from Ms. Dryjanski; she will be dropping them off on April 22 in the afternoon.
