Clemente Family Update 2/12/2026

Get Ready for Next Year: Course Selection Start in March

It is time to start planning for the upcoming school year!

To ensure every student gets the classes they need and want, we are launching our personalized Course Selection Advising meetings in March.

What You Need to Do:

  1. Check Your Email: All students have received a personalized email detailing their specific meeting date, time, and counselor.
  2. Accept the Calendar Invite: Shortly after the email, you recieved a calendar invitation. Please accept this immediately to confirm your attendance and add the meeting to your schedule.

Scheduled Meeting with Counselors

Hello Clemeente Family. We would like to extend our service to the student and parent/guardian when scheduling meetings to discuss student progress or needs. We welcome parents and guardians to attend as the student’s primary representatives. To ensure we are fully prepared for these collaborative sessions, please confirm your scheduled time with the staff at least 48 hours in advance. We look forward to working together!

Clemente Archers Hit the Bullseye at Regional Tournament!

We have some incredibly exciting news from the archery range! Our Clemente archery teams absolutely dominated at the recent tournament, competing against 18 teams from across Chicago and the suburbs.

Out of over 210 archers, Clemente took home 1st and 3rd place as teams, with several individual archers placing in the top 10 overall:
  • 1st Place: Jesus Menjivar
  • 3rd Place: Soraya Caillouet
  • 5th Place: Ulysis Ayala
  • 7th Place: Geovany Soto
Because of this stellar performance, both Clemente Archery teams have officially qualified for the State Archery Tournament! They will be competing for both the State Bullseye and State 3D titles.

Please join us in congratulating these dedicated student-athletes if you see them in your classes!
Happy February everyone!

If your student is in Mrs. Potter’s dance class, ask them to teach you a “jazz square!”

Our theater classes are working on studying some Ancient Greek plays (like Lysistrata, Medea, and Oedipus Rex). Students are learning what these plays are about as representations of typical Greek theatrical texts. They're very dramatic stories that still have echoes in today's theater world! Just see Spike Lee's "Chiraq" for example!

Progress reports are out this week. Please reach out to your student’s art teacher if you have questions or concerns about progress report grades.

  • Ms. Beberman (music)
  • Ms. Gerke (theater)
  • Mrs. Potter (dance)
  • Mr. Winn (visual arts)
