ACCESS for ELLs Assessments, Starting January 15, 2025
|
Most students will test online so please ensure that your student is charging their chromebooks daily. Students will be tested in listening, reading, writing, speaking. There is no need to study for ACCESS testing.
|
Alternate ACCESS for ELLs offered to students with cognitive disabilities. It offers extra support and gives students multiple opportunities to respond to test items.

La mayoría de los estudiantes bilingües realizan los exámenes en línea, así que asegúrese de que su estudiante esté cargando sus Chromebooks diariamente. Los estudiantes realizarán pruebas de comprensión auditiva, lectura, escritura y expresión oral. No es necesario estudiar para los exámenes ACCESS.

Sophomore students in Chemistry are trying to stay warm by coming to school and working on their Conflict Element Projects! What is a conflict element, you ask? It is an element that creates a conflict!
|
For example, the element lithium comes from our Earth and there are certain parts of the world where it is extracted from more than other places. Lithium is used in the batteries of our modern day technology! So without this element, we wouldn’t be able to have power in our cell phones and laptops on the go.
|
So what are students doing exactly in Chemistry? Well, they got to choose their own Element to do research on, and are focused on exploring the relationships between extracting elements from the earth and how this affects local communities, politics, the economy, and the environment.

Los estudiantes de segundo año de Química están tratando de mantenerse calientes yendo a la escuela y trabajando en sus Proyectos de Elementos de Conflicto. ¿Qué es un elemento de conflicto? Es un elemento que crea un conflicto.
|
Por ejemplo, el elemento litio proviene de nuestra Tierra y hay ciertas partes del mundo de donde se extrae más que de otras. ¡El litio se utiliza en las baterías de nuestra tecnología moderna! Por lo tanto, sin este elemento, no podríamos tener energía en nuestros teléfonos celulares y computadoras portátiles cuando estamos en movimiento.

Entonces, ¿qué están haciendo exactamente los estudiantes en Química? Bueno, pudieron elegir su propio Elemento para investigar y se centraron en explorar las relaciones entre la extracción de elementos de la tierra y cómo esto afecta a las comunidades locales, la política, la economía y el medio ambiente.
