Happy New Year from the Arts Team!

We are starting new units for the semester and are looking forward to more creative exploration with the students. As a reminder, student success in their arts classes relies on their consistent attendance and participation. This includes submitting assignments on time and physically practicing the skills necessary for their discipline. Student regularly move, draw, rehearse, play instruments, untilize different materials, and create objects in their classes. If you have any questions about your student’s art class, please reach out to the teacher.

Sophomore students in Ms. Gerke’s Theatre Arts class learned about the true origins of theatre with Early Mankind’s oral storytelling tradition. They then practiced the oral storytelling tradition by sitting in a circle with their peers and retelling an original story dramatically.
|

|
Students in Mrs. Potter’s Senior Seminar are participating in the Financial Education unit this quarter. Students will be interacting with different financial situations like financial aid, banking, long-term investing, credit, and taxes. Passing the Financial Education unit is a graduation requirement. It is critical that students are consistent with their attendance and participation. Please contact Mrs. Potter (jtpotter@cps.edu) if you have any questions or concerns about Senior Seminar and the Financial Education unit.

Make your plans! A schedule will come out after winter break, photo sessions are usually scheduled through your English Class. Caps & Gowns will be provided by the photographer for your photography session. They will take photographs and then reach out to you if you want to purchase your photo or if you want to do other photo packages. Clemente does not take money or orders, this will all go through Life Touch photography. NOTE: If you are not present on this day, there is no make-up day. You will need to contact a photographer of your choice and arrange a senior photo session with them.

¡Planifica tu cita! El calendario se publicará en enero. Las sesiones de fotos se suelen programar a través de tu clase de inglés. El fotógrafo proporcionará togas y birretes para la sesión. Después de tomar las fotos, se pondrá en contacto contigo si deseas comprar alguna o si te interesan otros paquetes fotográficos. Clemente no recibe pagos ni pedidos; todo se gestiona a través de Life Touch Photography.

Sophomores, the due date for your Personal Project final product is quickly coming up! In just a few weeks, you will need to submit the final product that you will showcase at the Personal Project Fair on February 13th!

Stressing out and need some one-on-one help? Fill out the Personal Project SOS form as soon as possible! This will allow you to set up an individual meeting with Ms. Dryjanski to get you on the right track before these upcoming due dates.

¡Estudiantes de segundo año, la fecha límite para la entrega del producto final de su Proyecto Personal se acerca rápidamente! En tan solo unas semanas, deberán entregar el producto final que presentarán en la Feria del Proyecto Personal el 13 de febrero.
