Welcome to Clemente Class of 2025!

A week in and we are so impressed by how kind, hardworking, and responsible the freshman class is! We are so excited to begin this journey with such an incredible group of young people! This year is going to be amazing as we step out from behind our computer screens, re-engage with our communities, and make lifelong memories and friendships!
This year, Clemente is able to offer 1:1 technology access to underclassmen. This means that every Freshman will be provided a laptop free of charge! All you need to do is send a parent/guardian to the school during operating hours to sign out the device. Please take advantage of this chance to have a personal computer for school work in and out of the classroom!

There is an exciting event hosted by the Chicago Public Library coming up where students can get back to school supplies and wardrobes. See this link for more info.
Finally, if you have any questions about anything Freshman-specific, please reach out to me, Mr. Spooner, your freshman Grade Level Lead at ejspooner@cps.edu and I will get back to you as soon as possible!

Welcome back, Clemente Wildcats!! My name is Ms. Townhouse, but some students call me Ms. T. I am thrilled to be your Librarian, for I love not only reading books, but making art with them, too! Please stop by and say hi! I’d love to show you some of the changes that are happening in the space!

We want to hear from you! What books would you like to see housed in the Library? Do you love sports? Read a lot of graphic novels? Do made-up stories that could happen to real people excite you? Click on the bold letters to take the
LIBRARY INTEREST SURVEY!

September is Library Card sign-up month! Stop by the Library to pick up an application, or swing by The Hulk to grab a copy. High school students can use their school ID and a piece of mail to get a card without a parent being present. There is currently no cost to replace a CPL library card, and CPL is now fine free. Click here for more FAQs related to obtaining a CPL card.

Students can also sign up for a temporary eCard here. but will need to visit any CPL branch to convert this to full borrowing privileges. Use your new library card to get: books, CDs, DVDs, museum passes, discovery backpacks, and access to online resources.

Because having a library card is incredible!
