Clemente Family Update 10/2/2021

We want to ensure that all students at Clemente receive a top-notch education in a safe and orderly environment. To better our practices, we are making some changes beginning Monday, October 4, 2021:
|
- Students will not be allowed to be picked up on Western Ave. Student pick-up has moved to the Division St. side of the school under the link (land bridge).
- All students in after-school sports and clubs will be offered an after-school meal in the 4th floor lunchroom. Food deliveries are no longer permitted, (e.g., grubhub, seamless, ubereats).
- Once a student leaves the building at the end of the day, they will not be allowed to reenter.
- Students will not be allowed to hang out on campus after school. All students will be asked to leave campus and head home.
- Lastly, due to a change in CPS network permissions, no electronic devices will be allowed to be used at school except for CPS-issued laptops or iPads. Non-CPS devices no longer work on our network.
- All non-CPS electronics (Including laptops, iPads, tablets, and speakers) will be confiscated if a student is found using one without permission and will only be released to a parent or guardian.
We believe that these changes, along with other efforts, will aid us in maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment for all of our students.
