The Illinois EPAY system is designed to improve fiscal efficiency and
stakeholder service. We believe you will find it useful and more
user-friendly. Access can be acquired by clicking the underlined link
above.

The EPAY system does not provide individual student statements. The
system requires that you click on the link below and log-in your student
identification number and pay the desired amount. If your student is new
to RCCA and previously attended another Chicago Public School, the
former student identification number will transfer. All purchases for CTA
Bus Passes must be paid online.

Hola familias,

This week in Spanish 2 we are showing off our skills we have been practicing this first quarter. Students will have introductory conversations in Spanish, answering questions about themselves, their interests, and their culture. They will also be working towards reading about others and making written comparisons and connections all in Spanish.

If you are wondering how to support, it is always helpful to ask what your student is working on in Spanish, ask them to teach you a few phrases, and have conversations with them or watch shows with them in Spanish!

It is so fun re-meeting them all in a new language and I look forward to seeing them grow so much this year.

IB News
Hello MYP students! You all got the opportunity to learn more about the Personal Project in English classes recently. Many of you were interested in the different options that students have presented in the past and were already coming up with your own ideas. It was so great to see the excitement around this project that really lets you show off something you learned outside the classroom.

Missed English classes or unsure about the personal project? Check out the intro presentation that we went over in English classes! Just be sure to be logged in to your CPS email to access it. The next important step that students completed was the Personal Project Interest form, which will allow the IB coordinators to pair you with a mentor that you have a strong relationship with OR with an expert in the topic you are exploring. The link to this form is here and it is a key step to beginning the project!

The next steps in the Personal Project journey will be rolled out in Math classes this coming week. You will learn more about the Personal Project Proposal form and be able to work on it with support from Ms. Dryjanski and your teachers. Be sure to be in Math classes October 18-22!

Looking ahead, here are some upcoming items related to the Personal Project. You can find this full calendar in the Sophomore Google Classroom.
