Sophomores are exploring themes of jealousy, betrayal, prejudice, and loyalty in the exciting Shakespearean play, Othello. In class we are watching the Kenneth Branaugh version alongside reading selected passages from the text. In addition, students are comparing this classic play to a more modern version called “O” and analyzing the impact of the adaptation’s choices versus the original. At the end of this unit, students will write, direct, act, and design their own modern version of a scene from Othello in small groups.

There has been an update in JumpRope! Our missing code will shift from E to M. This ensures there is less confusion!

Lastly, a conversion chart has been entered at the top of the Current Grades tab. Now, when you see a number next to your student's class, you can have an idea of what letter grade the number corresponds to.
