Freshmen Updates:

Our freshmen continue to bring that energy with them to class and have started to get more and more comfortable being themselves! Keep up the good work and keep bringing those positive vibes with you to class! Look out from check-ins from teachers about attendance and grades over the next couple of weeks! Take the next week to enjoy the weather and get a break from your computers! (Or you can use this time to get makeup work done as well!)

My Freshman Year So Far

I chose to attend Clemente High School because it was close to my house and had many things to offer students. I was very excited to become a Wildcat, but was a bit disappointed that we had to start the year with remote learning. It has been a bit difficult to start my Freshman year at home because a lot of what I was looking forward to was being in school and sharing experiences with my fellow classmates, making new friends, and getting involved in the many clubs and activities Clemente offers.

But little did I know that I would have so much fun even during remote learning. So far, my experience being a Wildcat has all been positive. There have been plenty of opportunities for me to meet new people, and have fun this year even though we are all in remote learning. I got a chance to meet a lot of new people during activities like Pride Day where we got to have fun all day.

My teachers have also made this year fun for us. They always try to make classes fun and entertaining. Whether it is reading novels in English class, or learning about our rights in Civics, at the end of each day I feel like I learned something and had fun doing it. I still would prefer to be at school in person, but remote learning is much better than I would have thought. Thanks to all the Clemente people who are trying so hard for us to get the best high school experience possible even during these difficult times.

Happy Spring season!!! As we prepare for spring break and some well-earned rest time, take a moment to reflect in full in a comprehensive dimensional sense. Reflect on your experience with school, home life, and society. I caught up with Freshman Chris Escobar to ask, “How will you spend your spring break?”. Here’s what he said…

What I’m Looking Forward to This Spring Break
Chris Escobar

My name is Chris Escobar and I am a Freshman at Clemente. The thing I'm most looking forward to this spring break is taking a break from working super hard for the last couple of weeks. I’m sure everyone else is as well. Taking the time to just rest, relax, and reflect is very important so i am glad we have this upcoming week off. So that’s what I’m going to be doing for this spring break.

Last Friday 3/19, we had a wonderful Pride Day event to celebrate our resiliency through this past year of remote learning. Your teachers had a blast connecting with you over scary movies, pets, music, yoga, and more! Check out some pictures from the memorable day:

Hi juniors!

You are almost there! Spring break is here and you deserve some rest and relaxation before getting back to a very important and busy time of year for you all.

We hope that we inspired some ideas for relaxing over spring break during our Pride Day last week, during which many of you connected with your teachers for support, played video games with friends, enjoyed throwback Disney movies and more. The junior team (and all of the Clemente staff) hopes that gave you all a necessary breather and a time to feel like things were a little more normal than they have been.

Following spring break, juniors have a pretty hefty task ahead of them. Take a look at some of the dates that are coming up.

  • SAT: April 13
  • SAT (extended time): April 14
  • End of quarter 3: April 15
While spring break should be a time to relax and take some time off, if you know you have some assignments that need to be tackled before the end of the quarter, one suggestion is to work on something each day so it isn’t left until the last minute. Particularly with the SAT leading right up to the end of the quarter, taking the time over break to knock out any missing work or revisions will allow you to be less stressed on the end of the quarter and more prepared for the test.

Finally, some test prep options for you to explore are:
