Team 11
Hi juniors, we hope you all had a great spring break and got a chance to safely enjoy our days of sunshine this week!

The wait is finally over and the SAT is next week for those of you who opted in! If you choose to test on Tuesday, you should have received an email today that tells you when you need to be at school on April 13th. Start times are staggered to prevent too many people arriving at the same time. When your room is released after the test, which will also be staggered, you will be free to head home and be done for the day! If you are testing over two days, please be sure to come back the following day to finish your test!

If you did not opt to test on Tuesday, you will not attend classes on April 13th at all but classes will be back in session on Wednesday. There will also be another date to test on April 27th. Please keep your eye on your email for more information on that!

Additionally, because the quarter is coming to an end next week on April 15th and we have the SAT on Tuesday, the schedule for the coming week is a bit different. Please check out the schedule below to see what the week will look like!

Senior Wildcats,

Quarter 4 is right around the corner. If you have a question or concern about hybrid or virtual learning, please reach out to a staff member. We are here for support.

Please note the schedule for next week is as follows:
  • Monday: A Day
  • Tuesday: SAT Testing day for Seniors registered. No school for other Seniors.
  • Wednesday: B Day
  • Thursday: C Day + End of Quarter 3
  • Friday: No School
More information is coming soon! We appreciate your patience during this time. With CDC guidelines changing and with CPS ultimately having the final say in events, etc, we are working towards figuring out logistics for different events.

  • Cap and Gown Pick Up: Information will be coming soon for when students can pick up their caps and gowns at Clemente. This will ensure you will have enough time to take your gown home and iron it to be ready for Picture Day!
  • Picture Day: Ms. Amador is working diligently to create the schedule for sign up times for students. She is balancing CPS and CDC guidelines while also honoring the guidelines set by our photography company. Be on the lookout for information coming soon!
  • Prom: A team is crafting a plan for a casual prom gathering. This will not be like proms of the past because the current regulations cap our capacity at just 50 people per gathering space and do not permit dance floors to be open. This plan will need to be okay’ed by CPS, so we are not 100% sure it can happen. Be on the lookout for more information.
  • Graduation: Our date is still set for June 12th. Because of the capacity being 50 people in a gathering space, we will need to graduate in different cohorts. Also, because of this restriction, the graduation ceremonies will be students only. No guests until CDC guidelines become less restrictive. Rosters are being solidified for the different graduation cohorts, and graduation ceremony times are coming soon!
This is a lot of information being presented. Please let a staff member know if you have any questions or concerns, and again, we thank you for your patience during this time.
IB News
The Clemente DP seniors are in the home stretch of all the IB testing and assessments they have to do. From multiple essays over 1000 words, to different oral presentations in Language and Literature and Language Acquisition, our seniors have been busy!

One of the next pieces of work for our students is their own art exhibition. Ms. Paggao’s class would normally there would be a great display of all their work at Clemente, however, due to the pandemic, the artwork will need to be displayed virtually. Here is senior Omayra Saez’s sensational work this year. Great job Omayra and Ms. Paggao!
