ScreenFacetime
It's been wonderful having so many of our young people back in the building these past two weeks. Thanks to their maturity, enthusiasm, and cooperation, re-entry has gone very smoothly.

On the days that your student is in the building, we ask that you remind them that, while phones are allowed during in-person learning this quarter, they should not be using FaceTime as a means of communicating while in school. This becomes a privacy violation for others who may appear in the call.

Thank you for your continued support of learning at Clemente!

Hi juniors!

With the SAT behind you, you are probably focusing on the end of the year, which is coming up very quickly! Did realize that the end of the school year will be here in 31 school days?! While June 22nd may seem far away, it is coming up sooner than you know. An important date to keep in mind is June 18th; this is when final semester 2 grades will be due. Please think about reaching out to your teachers earlier to ensure that you end your junior year as strong as possible.

Fortunately, with the new C day schedule on Wednesday, this is a great time to meet with teachers and get the extra support you may be seeking! The junior team encourages you to email your teachers to set up time during office hours to catch up on missing assignments or get feedback in order to revise lower scores. You can also work asynchronously on anything you are missing during that chunk of time.

Finally, we will be holding a town hall coming up soon. You will get a formal invitation shortly. In the meantime, if you have any questions that you would like addressed at the town hall, please submit them in this form. The teachers and staff will use these questions to make sure you get all the information you might need!

A note from Mr. Crawley:
I am so excited for you to have this opportunity to document one of the most important occasions in your life to date, your high school graduation. You will be able to capture the memories that you have by having your pictures taken on picture day. We want to make sure that your pictures will actually represent something that will be happening for you. There are certain graduation requirements that CPS put in place that are necessary for you to be able to graduate this year. Completing your FAFSA is a new requirement this year and if it is not done, then you will not graduate in June, and this is NOT a joke! AGAIN, REGARDLESS of YOUR PATHWAY, PER CPS,YOU WILL NOT GRADUATE IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THE FAFSA. I would like to make myself available to assist with the completion of your FAFSA. When you sign up for your pictures, I would like you to sign up for a time to complete your FAFSA. I can even work with your parent, WHILE you are taking your picture ( If I do not hear from you , then I will be coming out to visit you at your house). Please email me at mlcrawley@cps.edu or have your parent call 773-544-7400 to set up an appointment time (Morning, afternoon, or evening) .documents. We can meet online or I can come and meet with you in person. It will take less than an hour. Please let me know if there are any special circumstances that prevent you from completing the FAFSA and I will help you with an alternative, if there is one available. If you reach out to me, I will make sure that you can get this requirement done! I look forward to celebrating with you!

Graduation: Our date has shifted based on the availability of our new venue. We will be graduating at Soldier Field (yes, where the Chicago Bears play)! Each student will have the opportunity to invite 4 guests. Students will be expected there at 8 AM. Our doors will open for families at 8 AM and the ceremony will begin promptly at 9 AM. Parking will be available at $10 per car.
