I hope all is well with you and your Wildcat Family. The safety of your children is my top priority, and I am writing to inform you of a situation that happened at school yesterday.
|

We became aware of an image that appeared to show a gun in our building. As soon as we were made aware of this image, we immediately searched, located the object, and determined that it was a fake gun.
|
There was not a real gun in our building at any point, and there is no safety threat to our community. We are working with the CPS Office of Safety and Security to handle this incident in accordance with CPS policy.
|
We take the safety of our RCCA students and staff extremely seriously, and I want to assure you that we make every decision with safety as our top priority.
|
