Hello! On Monday Feb 28th, the seniors had a townhall addressing the senior contract. The senior contract needs to be signed and returned by March 4th. (ASAP). The contract outlines the details for due dates (below), as well as events, and behavior. Please contact Dmorales@cps.edu for further questions.
DUE DATES:

|
→ (Feb 28th) FAFSA (or equivalent). This needs to be completed ASAP. Reach out to Mark Crawley. (CPS Grad Requirement)
|
|
→ (Feb 28th) 3 College Applications submitted. (CPS Grad Requirement. Finish ASAP)
|
|
→ (April 8th) 3 Scholarship applications and submit to Senior Portfolio in Naviance
|
|
→ (May 1st) Learn-Plan-Succeed - Completed. This is also DECISION DAY.
|
|
→ (May 20th) Service Learning Projects due (CPS Graduation Requirement)
|
→ (May 20th) Earn 24 Credits, including all courses that are required by CPS for graduation, which include but are not limited to Consumer Education and Driver’s Education. A student will not participate in the graduation ceremony if they do not complete CPS Requirements by May 20th, 2022.
|
EVENT DATES:
→ (March 14-18) Spirit Week, Raffles, School Spirit activities
|
|
→ (March 23) No school for seniors unless they are scheduled to take the SAT.
|
|

→ (April 8) End of Quarter 2. No school for students.
→ (April 11-15) Spring Break.

→ (End of May) Prom. We should know more about prom by next week.
→ (June) Graduation. Info on graduation is coming hopefully within the next week. We are finalizing the contract with CPS legal department. When this is completed, we will post this on the school website with specifics.

This is the last week of Personal Project due dates! Check below for the information on the last chunk of time to complete the Personal Project.
|
- Submit the Personal Project final paper! You should have seen this in History classes already if you were present. The paper is due March 8th.
- Important things to know about the paper:
- You are required to submit it to participate and celebrate during the Sophomore Half Cap event in June!
- It is graded! You will receive a score from your mentor and the IB.
- Even if you did not do the project, you still need to complete the reflective paper.
- If you did not finish much or any of the Personal Project, please be sure to check out the *INCOMPLETE* paper template version. This is more geared to students who did not make much progress on the Personal Project.

On March 7th during 7th period, we will host an all-sophomore Personal Project Study Hall. You will be able to finish your final paper with the support of your mentor (if they do not have an off-grade level class that period).
|

¡Esta es la última semana de fechas de vencimiento del Proyecto Personal! Consulte a continuación la información sobre el último período de tiempo para completar su Proyecto Personal.

Remember: for freshmen, sophomore, fine arts, and JROTC students, parents/guardians: Once again, here are the credentials to log into JumpRope.

While logging in, you’ll notice that the gradebook ROLLS with the semester. There is no distinction between 1 and 2. This is because the course is being treated as a year long experience.
|
A weight of 50% Formatives and 50% Summatives will be rolled out next week! This means that ALL assignments will affect a student’s grade/achievement level. Please encourage your students to engage in classwork and homework daily to improve their understanding of each skill!
|
Feel free to ask your student’s teachers what skills your student needs to improve in Semester 2. This can potentially raise their grade or move them out of the Not Yet (/) category! You can reach out to your student’s teachers by clicking the blue envelope in the Current Grades section in JumpRope.
