As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the smooth operation of our 1:1 Chromebook program, we kindly request your assistance in verifying the status of your student's assigned Chromebook.
|
In the coming days, you will receive an email containing a link to a brief verification form. We ask that you and your student complete this form as soon as possible. It's a quick and simple process, and your prompt response is crucial.
|
Failure to complete the verification form may result in the temporary locking of the Chromebook assigned to your student. This measure is taken to ensure the asset's proper tracking and security.
|
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated, as it allows us to maintain accurate records and provide continued support for your student's educational needs.

Sophomores, it is time! Personal Project begins next week! Ms. Dryjanski, the MYP coordinator, will be in your English and ESL classes to introduce you to the details of the Personal Project, review the timeline for the year, and support you as you request your mentor. Make sure that you are in your English classes next week so you don’t miss Step 1 of the Personal Project experience. For all families, the due dates for the year are included below!

Students, are you interested in representing Clemente as an IB Ambassador? Do you want to become a more active member of the school community? Apply to be an IB Ambassador! You would act as ambassadors in various capacities within the school community, representing the IB Learner Profile in their actions. Some examples of times when IB Ambassadors would be used might be:

As guides for adults when professional development or other events are held in the building
|

As representatives during recruitment events during or outside of school hours
|

As speakers in presentations, such as the Intro to Personal Project for freshmen
|

As point people for new students, specifically to newcomers
|
As part of the IB Ambassador program, you will receive an annual Ambassador tee shirt to note your membership and be recognized during Town Halls, Half Cap and graduation. For certain events, you will be able to have you cellphones to ensure that they are able to communicate actively with IB coordinators and support new students effectively. You will be able to include this as a leadership role on scholarship and college applications!

Como parte del programa Embajador del IB, recibirá una camiseta de Embajador anual para destacar su membresía y ser reconocido durante los ayuntamientos, Half Cap y la graduación. Para ciertos eventos, podrá tener sus teléfonos celulares para asegurarse de que puedan comunicarse activamente con los coordinadores del IB y apoyar a los nuevos estudiantes de manera efectiva. ¡Podrás incluir esto como un rol de liderazgo en solicitudes de becas y universidades!

Human Geography: This week in Human Geography, many students got their first taste of being in an AP class when we took our unit 1 exam. We are beginning our next unit looking at migration patterns where students will learn why people move from place to place, how migration has changed the world around us over time, and the different causes for migration.
|
|
DP Psychology 1: In DP Psychology, students just wrapped up their analysis of quantitative research and experiments. As we progress through the sections of our unit, and onto other units, students will apply all of their knowledge to existing experiments. The students in DP Psychology are about to start looking at different components of correlational studies, methods of qualitative research, and ethics in psychology before moving on to biological psychology (with brain dissections!).

If you need assistance with the FAFSA, see your counselor or Ms. Potter! Make an appointment! FAFSA is not out yet, but it will be soon! Make sure you get your social security number or alternate ID, and your tax forms ready from this past year!

Senior photos: We have contacted the photographer and the contract has been sent to Mr. Morales for approval. Once the document is signed, we will release the date for senior photos. It will be in Semester 1. (Yes, there will be an option for full-body poses, more info once we confirm date and contract)

Yearbook: Yes there will be a yearbook. More on this later! The contract will be sent to Mr. Morales this week! Once we have more info we will let you all know how to order!
