Enhance Your SAT Scores:
Join RCCA's 'Good Morning SAT' Program
Starting February 10th

The college admissions process has never been more competitive, so it is crucial for students to prepare a strong admissions campaign. This includes getting the highest possible scores on standardized tests like the SAT. Research studies show that students who spend at least 20 hours using a proven test prep program will see a rise in standardized test scores.

To help RCCA students prepare for the SAT, we have partnered with Academic Approach to present “Good Morning SAT” where students will work on honing their test prep skills for success on the SAT which will be April 9th-10th 2024 . The program will start Saturday, February 10th 2024 and run every Saturday until April 6th, 2024. We will begin our instruction @ 9AM-12PM. Lunch will be provided.

This program is open to 10th and 11th graders. We are looking for a commitment from those who sign up. This is your opportunity to improve your chances of obtaining scholarships and selective college admittance. There will be a celebration for those that attend all sessions of the program.
|
In order to have a successful test prep day, please make sure your student(s):
- Get a good night's sleep
- Eat a healthy breakfast
- Do not stress! Meditate, take deep breaths, listen to music, or exercise to relax.
- Please arrive on time, doors will open at 8AM

ACCESS Test Window
January 17 - March 5, 2024
What is the ACCESS Test?
The ACCESS Test measures a person’s Academic and Social English Language Proficiency Levels in Reading, Writing, Speaking, & Listening
Why is the ACCESS Test important?
*If you score 4.8 or higher you can exit the Bilingual Program
*Your test score can be a determining factor in earning the Seal of Biliteracy

SENIOR SEMINAR & FINANCIAL LITERACY
|
Seniors are currently working on a financial literacy unit in the senior seminar class. Senior Seminar is a separate grade from Financial Literacy. Seniors must complete the financial literacy unit with a passing grade to complete the Financial Literacy. It is possible to pass Senior Seminar and fail financial literacy. Please see Ms. Potter if you have questions about this unit and this class. If you do not have senior seminar, reach out to your counselor to make sure you are able to do the financial literacy component for graduation. (financial literacy has lessons on bank accounts, taxes, mortgages, car loans, credit cards, and other real life situations)

Seniors who have not taken senior photos and cap & gown, may take photos this day. Seniors who want to retake their photos may retake this day. Seniors who did the Prestige Photos and decided they want to do the basic photos instead, may retake this day. Students should come to school, bring an extra pair of shoes/clothes to change into if you have heels. You will take photos between 11:00am -12:30pm. It is up to you to go to the Auditorium and take your photos. There is no schedule for classes to go down. Make sure you check in with your 4th period teacher, get a pass to go down, or you can go down during lunch. Do not bring money. Clemente does not accept money for photo packages. Once the photos are taken, the photographer will mail the proofs and you can order online after you receive them. This will be the last senior photo day this year.

FAFSA Seniors are working on completing the FAFSA. If you have not completed this yet, please reach out to your counselor or Ms. Potter if you have any questions. FAFSA or the Alternative Application for Financial Aid must be completed, it is a graduation requirement.
