This Friday, your freshman and sophomore students will have TWO opportunities to explore options for their future. You can get more information about each program using the links below. We encourage you to talk with your student about their hopes for high school, and help them choose a program that would make them excited to come to school every day.

1. High School Pathway Fair: Here, students will learn about programs they can join during their high school experience. These programs are incorporated in their courses during the school day. Some of the programs students can learn about and apply to include:
2. College Exposure Fair: Here, students will meet with representatives from over 15 colleges to start exploring some options for their future!
Applications Now Open for Honorary Student Board Member for the 2023-24 School Year

The Chicago Board of Education has provided two (2) English and two (2) Spanish posters, via GSR, that highlight the details for the SY 2023-24 Honorary Student Board Member application process. Please place these posters in areas of your school building where current sophomore and junior students frequent and in a centralized location that has high student and parent traffic and visibility, such as the Main Office, Lunch Room, Counseling Office, or Attendance Office.

Additionally, each poster has a QR code that can be scanned. Once scanned, this QR code will take individuals directly to the SY 2023-24 HSBM application.

This week in US History, students are looking at the reasoning behind the US entering WWI and whether it was a good justification for war or not. We’re gathering evidence to answer our big question for this unit: When is War Justified? We also took some time to talk about source reliability by looking at evidence that Clemente is haunted. Below is one of the pieces of evidence we looked at…Do you think it looks reliable? Should we be worried about paranormal activity here at Clemente?🤔
This week in PE/ Sex Ed we are learning what makes relationships healthy and unhealthy. We are covering different scenarios and even diving into some pop culture relationships to identify what makes that relationship unhealthy and what could be done to avoid and/or resolve conflicts. We also have some art posted outside of 699 covering different relationship types. Stop by and take a look!

Congratulations to the juniors for completing their SAT on April 12th. We are proud of your work and the effort you put forth on the testing day. This was a big accomplishment and marks you all as one step closer to meeting your graduation requirements
