Clemente Students Clean and Green the Community!

On Saturday, April 26th, Clemente students and staff participated in Chicago’s city-wide Clean & Green Day. This over 20-year-old city tradition aims to have community groups join in a “spring cleaning” of Chicago. Now that the snow has melted and spring is finally here, having a clean environment is an important part of being able to be outside and enjoy the wonderful neighborhood of Humboldt Park.

The 26th ward provided tools – rakes, brooms, shovels, and bags – and Clemente students cleaned up five large bags of litter along Division Street and in Humboldt Park. Students brought their enthusiasm and a hard-work attitude and together, alongside other community groups, cleaned up the area so everyone can better enjoy the beauty of the neighborhood and Humboldt Park!
