LSC Application Deadline Extended to January 27 2026

Good news! The application deadline for LSC has been extended to January 27.

2026 is an election year for Chicago Public Schools. CPS is holding District-wide Local School Council (LSC) elections, and we want to encourage you to run as a candidate for your school’s LSC!  

Students, parents, CPS staff, and community members are invited to apply to become LSC candidates. 

Apply online at cps.edu/lscelection and submit two forms of identification to one of the following locations by 3:00 pm on January 27, 2026:

  • The main office of the school where you intend to run as a candidate.
  • The CPS Office of Local School Council Relations located at 2651 W. Washington Blvd, Chicago, IL 60612.

Paper applications in languages other than English and Spanish can be downloaded at cps.edu/lscelection. Student applications are available at their school’s main office.  

All LSC elections will take place on March 18, 2026.
