Roberto Clemente Community Academy – Up and Coming Neighborhood School
Chicago Public Schools has released the 2016 Graduation Rates, and it is clear that Roberto Clemente Community Academy is a neighborhood school on the rise.
- Clemente’s current four-year graduation rate of 80.1%, up from 75.7% last year
- Clemente’s four-year graduation rate is 6.6% higher than the average CPS rate
- Clemente’s current five-year graduation rate of 83.5%, up from 67.3% last year
- Clemente’s five-year graduation rate is 10% higher than the average CPS rate
- Under the leadership of Dr. Sorensen and Mr. Crosen, the four-year graduation rate has improved 43% and the five-year graduation rate has improved by 35%
This has been a rewarding and hard-earned success for the Clemente faculty and student body. The administrative team has worked tirelessly with staff making concerted efforts to improve overall student-supports and therefore graduation rates since arriving at Clemente. Based on the new data, it is clear that their efforts have paid off.
Congratulations and thank you, Clemente teachers, staff, students, families, and Dr. Sorensen and Mr. Crosen your leadership! Without you this growth would not have been possible.
What a wonderful way to kick off the new school year! Go Wildcats!
