11th Grade Gets Social

One of the largest and most daunting tasks facing any 11th grade student is getting ready for the ACT exams looming on the horizon. To begin preparation for this big event, our juniors did what any good team does to prepare – they practiced! On Wednesday, the Clemente 11th graders took their first full-length practice ACT exam. Testing takes approximately 4 hours from start to finish, but in true Wildcat fashion they persevered and got it done.

Following test administration, the team had lunch and a much-needed diversion in the form of an ice cream social and grade-level wide “rock-paper-scissors “ tournament. Mario Flores (from Mrs. Hecht’s homeroom) was ceremoniously crowned the victor with the official pirate-hat traveling trophy. This was the first of what will be a myriad of team-centered activities in preparation for the upcoming junior year. Stay tuned!
