2015 Women’s Softball Season

Clemente Varsity Women’s Softball completed the season 3-10. The Women’s softball team began the season against Blue North’s strongest opponent, North Grand. Following a difficult Game 1 loss, the Wildcats began to work together as a more cohesive unit to find success on the field. The two Senior Captains – Kayla Triche and Hailid DeJesus – worked with their team on and off the field. The season had its highs and lows, yet was capped with a high point in the seniors’ final home game against Steinmetz. All of the senior softball players, which included Mariah Smith, Hailid Dejesus, Kayla Triche, Chidy Ramos, and Arlen Llamas, played a complete game to cap off their final game on Clemente’s field. The pitcher’s circle was held down by Hailid, who recorded eight strikeouts including the final strikeout of the game which earned the victory. In addition, to a wonderful pitching performance, Mariah Smith held down the outfield, Chidy Ramos was dominant behind the plate, Kayla was holding down the hot corner, and Arlen was excellent in Right Field. All of the seniors recorded a hit and/or RBI to help out the Wildcat offense. Congratulations to the Wildcats on a great finish!
