ACT Testing: Done!
Last week, the hard work from our juniors finally paid as they took the ACT on Tuesday. Students woke up bright and early and ready to succeed on Tuesday morning. At school, juniors were greeted with a catered breakfast served to them by their biggest motivators, the administration and teachers. For students, this day signified the culmination of a long and arduous journey from freshman to junior year. All of the teachers and supporters that they have had throughout the past three years were there to cheer students on and offer final words of support.
For the last three years, students have been exposed to a rigorous curriculum that focused on all the skills that equate to a successful ACT score – but students are not only prepared with ACT skills. Students are also exposed to post-secondary options, visiting 5-6 colleges and participating in other informational college sessions. This week, the sophomores went to visit various college around the Chicago area to look at potential majors and career paths, building purpose for their journey toward taking the ACT next year.
During the ACT, students were focused and gave 100% effort for the entire five hours. When the students came out of the test, they were tired but felt confident about their abilities and prepared for the path ahead. Well done, juniors!
