Clemente Seniors Visit Hispanic College Fair
Choosing a post-secondary path can be a hard choice for high school seniors. To gain more exposure to their options, Clemente Seniors attended the October Hispanic College Fair at Daley College. Over 50 in-state and out-of-state universities were represented at the fair, including: Ball State, Central Michigan, Kent State, Northern Illinois University, Purdue University, and University of Illinois. Students deemed the fair successful for the wide variety of schools in attendance, as well as the representation of several big-name universities.
Senior Angel Davila reports that Purdue caught his eye based on the information they gave him about the opportunities for a balance between academics and social activities at their school. St. Xavier University was also noted for being a great choice because of the small student body of only 6,000. Morehouse College appealed to several Clemente students based on the opportunities provided to minority students. University of Illinois, a perennial favorite among Clemente students, also gained a lot of attention. Our students left armed with a great deal of information to help them narrow their choices as college application season approaches. Good luck, seniors!
