Clemente traveled down south to face Jones College Prep for their first conference game of the season. On a rainy day, the weather cleared up just in time for the game to start at the scheduled time. Clemente began the game possessing the ball and pushing forward towards Jones’ goal. Jones struck back with speed, but found Clemente’s defensive player, Tommy Gutiérrez, ready to stop the attack time after time. Captain Moises Rojas put up a strong fight in the middle of the field while pushing forward with Diego Flores and Christopher Martinez on his wings. Unfortunately, Jones was able to continue attacking Clemente’s goal and scored their first goal in the first 10 minutes. Even with the amazing play from Clemente’s goalkeeper, Raul Marchan, Clemente was not able to hold Jones off with the final score of 5-0 in favor of Jones College Prep.
Next game: Westinghouse vs. Clemente at 5:00pm on Tuesday, September 15th, at Allstate Turf Field Located in Humboldt Park.
