Making Our Group Movies
By Izabel Segura
Our recent filming was one of the most exciting and fun experiences. We split up into two groups and we all came up with ideas about what we, as a group, wanted to message. It was really challenging having different types of people with different ideas but we all really came together, trying to combine our ideas and work with something we would all participate in.
After we all agreed, we got assigned roles that were each significant in making any film. Everything had such a seriousness to it and really helped us mature in that little bit of time. The writers got constant feedback so we all knew what was going on with our projects. After several copies we got to do storyboards and began the planning process. When the time finally came, we were all excited to go film.
Everybody had picked or was assigned a part that they were comfortable with. Since we were all so excited, it was a little difficult – but we managed and we matured. We learned responsibility and communication with one another even if we had never talked before the project. It was a great learning experience for all of us.
