Roberto Clemente Community Academy at Fiesta Boricua
August 31st and September 1st, 2013
Fiesta Boricua is one of the largest Puerto Rican festivals in the Midwest, attracting over 200,000 Latinos from around the world. The Fiesta is held on the Paseo Boricua, a culturally significant strip of Division Street gated by the two largest Puerto Rican steel flags in the nation. Our home, Roberto Clemente Community Academy, sits just east of this area. We were thrilled to celebrate and engage with our neighbors at Fiesta Boricua, and to once again become a school of choice for the young people of this vital community.
Young attendees who visited the Clemente booth received goody bags stuffed with school spirit: wristbands, pens, sticky notes, and Clemente informational materials.
Family festivals and gatherings remain in the memory of our community residents for a lifetime; the staff at RCCA is honored to have been part of those memories.
